The following list of names and addresses of inhabitants of the Rock comes from a Garrison Library publication titled A Popular History of Gibraltar its Institutions and its Neighbourhood on both Sides of the Straits. It was published in 1888 and was compiled by Lieutenant-Colonel Gilbard who was the Police Magistrate in Gibraltar at the time. The list is incomplete and unfortunately I have no idea what criteria Gilbard used to compile it.
