John Cleveley was born in 1747, the son of the artist, John Cleveley the Elder. John junior and his twin brother Robert were both also artists. They specialised in marine paintings. Whether any of them ever visited Gibraltar or not is a moot point - but I suspect not. The pictures below are all by John junior.
