2016 - Mapping our Past - Gibraltar National Archives

On the 25th of October 2016 the Gibraltar National Archives opened an exhibition which showcased a collection of some of their maps, plans and other items of historical interest. It was part of their Outreach programme. The exhibition itself ran for only a few weeks but a video was produced which highlighted most of the items on display – there were more than a hundred - as well as others which were not.

The video – or a digital version of it – was subsequently posted on the internet as part of the National Archives web site and it is from here that I obtained the selection of items that formed part of the exhibition. They are shown below.

It is a bit unfortunate that the method of presentation used on the website made it difficult to copy individual items and that in general the definition of these was relatively poor. I was able to solve the first problem but not the second.
