Looking for, identifying, downloading and “Photoshopping” photographs of Gibraltar taken by members of the many and various US aircraft carriers that visited Gibraltar during the period from 1946 to the 1960s - roughly the years in which I lived on the Rock - is a time-consuming and tedious business.
I nevertheless managed to find a few historically interesting examples which I posted a while back in an essay - The US Navy Comes to Town.
