A well-known Spanish savings bank based in Andalucia produced an album of 23 interesting photographs of La Línea de la Concepcíon which they published on their website. Seven of these include the Rock as a background to general views of Gibraltar’s nearest Spanish neighbour.
I don’t know who took these photographs but quite a few of them were certainly used by well-known postcard publishers such as Lucien Roisin, Jean Laurent, Haser and Menet, J. Muños and J. Cumbo. Nor am I at all certain as regards when the photos were taken, but my guess is that most of them probably date from the early 20th century.
