Local competition between postcard sellers must have been pretty vicious at the time. By the early decades of the 20th century, sellers such as Beanland Mailin often found themselves with more than half a million postcards in stock. Another, Vincent B. Cumbo became one of the largest publishers of souvenir photo booklets and tinted postcards on the Rock during the very early 20th century. And these two were just the tip of a much bigger iceberg that included others such as Dautez and Benzaquen.

Not surprisingly it is rare indeed to come across one of his in the antique postcard trade. So far I have only been able to come across five examples:
