1922 – Gibraltar Directory – Addresses of Residents
Not all of Gibraltar’s more or less annual directories included list of the names and addresses of local residents – and although the one for 1922 does, it does not list everybody. For example, while the known male members of my father’s side of the family – the Chipulinas - are in it, not so those on my mother’s side – the Gomez family who owned and lived in 42 Crutchett’s Ramp.
My guess is that one had to pay to get oneself on this register. The Chipulinas opted to do so, the Gomez family decided against.
