I have never come across Europa Road being described as “Royal” (Caption 11). “Pavilions of Buena Vista” is the description given for the two buildings given as Caption 8. The top was indeed a military barracks but the bottom building was at that time the residence of whoever happened to be the Chief Justice of Gibraltar

There was indeed a Genoese tower on Windmill Hill - but this was not it. The building identified on Caption 2 was a Signal Station on Windmill Hill. Work commenced on 21 August 1880 and was completed on 24th March 1882.
